Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2
The design of Gtech Cordless Lawnmower 2 focused on improving technical performance whilst making it an easy and enjoyable product to use. Technical innovations lead to increased run time and cutting performance whilst greatly reducing the product weight.
The aesthetic direction emphasises the technical prowess of the product, whilst clearly communicating user interactions.
Early Concept Development
Every feature and touch point were extensively prototyped to test usability, safety, and reliability. Prototyping and refinement ensured that the product was suitable for many years of use and accessible to wide range of user groups. Being a dangerous garden tool, the design process had to pay equal attention to safety standards and usability. Prototyping ensured safety tests were passed whilst still making the product simple to understand and easy to use.
The Gtech CLM 2 was featured in a national TV advertising campaign with the rest of the Gtech garden line up. The CMF of the existing products in the range were updated to match the CLM 2 design.
